After 18 and a half years of being cancer free, Carol ("Mom" to me) was diagnosed with breast cancer once again. I, her daughter Amy, am starting this blog about my mom's battle against cancer, so that loved ones can follow her steps through this journey. This blog is meant to be a source of support & encouragement for my mom & those who love her. I’ll be posting about her Doctor's appointments, her course of treatment & general “feel good stuff”. Mom has agreed that I can share this information with you all. She has a wonderful team of doctors & professionals whom she LOVES & is in the very best of care. We encourage your well wishes & support; however, because her decisions for her treatment have been thoroughly weighed & discussed with her team of doctors & immediate family, we ask that any medical advice or opinions towards her course of action not be shared in this forum...(sorry for the quick disclaimer, however, mom wants this to be a happy place for her!)
