Ok, so we're in a little bit of a "holding pattern" since Mom's last Dr. appointment. On 9/1/11, we went into Lahey Clinic to "get schooled" in genetic testing & learn all about the BRCA1 & BRCA2 genes & what those tiny little genes are capable of, if they are mutated.

THE FIRST STEP
After 18 and a half years of being cancer free, Carol ("Mom" to me) has been diagnosed with breast cancer once again. I, her daughter Amy, am writing this blog to document my mom's battle against cancer, so that loved ones can follow her steps through this journey.
